The Windows Resource

Little Tips

This is the place for the odd little tip on how to improve your Windows experience.  It's still under construction and it'll probably take me a little while to come up with some cool things.

Enable ClearType

Enable ClearType

ClearType is a type of font rendering.  It makes text on the screen much more readable, the basic technology behind it involves manipulating the individual sub-pixels allowing for greater resolution.

Right click an empty area of the desktop
-> Click Properties
--> In the new window click the tab Appearance
---> Click Effects
----> If nessasary enable Use the following method to smooth edges on screen fonts
-----> Select ClearType in the second drop-list on the page
------>  OK your way out.

A video on how to enable this can also be found on the Videos page.
